United are in decent form at the moment and if there is one place the old firm dont get it easy then it is tannidice.

Levein is a terrific manager- i have said that many times- he spends little or no money but manages to come up with great value in the transfer market and year after year puts sides on the park to compete with the big 2. Not over the season, they will never win the league, but in one off games Dundee United have given both of them so many problems in the last few years and its by playing good football too.

The terrors have a couple of decent wins coming into this one-over Killie and the Dons. 2 tough away games and 6 points so they are in form at the right time.

Celtic are not on form and to be honest i have to say its not a great Celtic side. That defence is an absolute shambles and you really have to ask why on earth Mowbray spent so much money in the summer and didnt get himself a centre back. They are slow, weak in the air and cant tackle.

Only 2 wins in the last 5 games for the Hoops- last time out we seen a horrific performance at Falkirk where they gifted 3 goals to the spl side who up until that game couldnt hit the target.

Celtic also have quite a few injuries for this game

This is a good bet on Utd. They are not only playing well but are also the one side in the spl with the quality of footballer to hold the ball and not panic when they have it. This is a side with a lot of good passers and some nice movement up front.

Celtic are under pressure, a lot of pressure, and although they are always a danger going forward with McGeady, you simply cannot trust their defence against any side.

Set plays will also be very interesting. United have the best delivery in the spl- and a lot of height too- while Celtic dont have a centre back who competes well enough in the air.
