Novak Djokovic was simply too good for Nadal last night whereby the Spaniard went down in comprehensive fashion 6-2 6-3. The only real scare for the Serbian came in the first game when he gave Nadal two break points but since managing to hold that game, he was in cruise control of the remainder of the match. It could be the first time Djokovic wins back to back tournament after stunning Federer in Basel last weekend. At current, Novak is slowly closing the gap between him and Nadal in the ATP standings and a win here will give him 1000 rankings points.

Whereas for Gael Monfils, he got his slice of luck in the penultimate ninth game of the third set yesterday, before serving out for the set at 5-4. He has used the French crowd to his advantage but Djokovic would be the sternest test he would face this week. Moreover, Monfils time on court for his last two rounds is a slight concern. Go for the Serb to make it four wins out of four against his rival today.
