Middlesbrough vs Wigan

Il take Boro to get the points against Wigan. They badly need a result here to pull clear off the relegation places and against a defence as poor as Wigans, i think they will get it. Boro may not have been on fantastic form recently but they are picking up points and going well in the fa cup, 2 difficult away games at Bristol City and Mansfield are out the way and they did play very well in their last league match with Liverpool. Southgate has handled the pressure there well and to be fair has always tried to play football even when they were under pressure in the relegation places. They do have some very good young players and some real quality coming through the ranks. Wigan may have done well under Bruce, il be honest and say i thought his time would be a disaster but he has done ok and they have picked up a few vital wins. I dont think they are a strong side though and of all the teams at the bottom id say they have the weakest defence. Titus Bramble is never far away from his next blunder and although they do have some qualties in attack, they are prone to losing some awful goals. Boro to get the vital win. Boro to beat Wigan with pinnacle at 2.00
