Bordeaux have had a firing start to the season so far winning 6 out of 7 games with a single draw, and that finally came crashing down when they lost their last game at St. Etienne in a bad loss by a score 3-1.

Laurent Blanc is looking to lead the team to a yet another victory to try and keep up with the 1 point advantage that Lyon have in the race for Ligue 1 this season.

Gourcuff and Chamakh who had injury concerns, are expected to be fit to take their place in the starting lineup today, as Blanc will want them to build some momentum ahead of their Champions League fixture against Bayern in mid-week.

Last season, Bordeaux were able to knock up a 2-0 victory in a similar fixture and its unexpected that the odds are so high, which is probably due to the fact that the UCL game is in mid-week as well as they are returning after an international break.
