Il go for Rangers to get more bookings points. 10 for yellow, 25 for a red.
I was very surprised to see these odds and feel the bookies have priced this up totally wrong. Celtic are clear favs to get more card points at 4/9, while the draw is 9/2 and Rangers are 3/1.
Obviously the thinking behind it is that Rangers are favs to win, are at home, and Celtic are the side under more pressure as Rangers have the 3 point advantage with a game in hand. Could Celtic could totally lose their discipline if the title is slipping away ?
Possibly yes but i dont see it like that and believe the game will be very tight anyway. Rangers are the side with more players who are prone to picking up yellows. Their side is full of scottish players who fight for the jersey and love a tackle. McCulloch, Thomson, Ferguson, Broadfoot, Weir, and we can possibly add Steve Davies who is from N Ireland but brought up a Rangers supporter, so really an adopted Scot.
Celtic are the side with a lot of flair but lacking badly in that midfield for fire, heart and passion. The Celtic fans are crying out for a player like Sutton, Lennon or Roy Aitken because theres no doubt they are a bit lightweight, especially in the middle of the park.
Strachan has also promised the Celtic support that his players will be on their very best behaviour and that they have been warned not to pick up silly cautions.
The ref is Stuart Dougal who is a very experienced ref but has been put under a great deal of pressure by Celtic friendly pundits and media leading up to the match. It would not exactly come us a surprise if he was slightly less confident about handing out cards where Celtic are concerned.
Rangers to get more bookings points than Celtic at 4.00
